Some of the most important nutrients for women are iron, calcium, vitamin D and folic acid. Iron is important for the formation of red blood cells and can be a common deficiency in women due to menstrual bleeding. Calcium and vitamin D are important for bone health, while folic acid is recommended during pregnancy to prevent neural tube defects.
