What is quercetin?

The quercetin in this dietary supplement from Fairvital is a plant substance (flavonoid) that is extracted from the bud of the Sophora japonica. It is one of the most abundant flavonoids, often responsible for the red color of plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables.

With a balanced diet, you consume an average of 5 to 40 mg of quercetin per day. With the Quercetin plus bromelain capsules from Fairvital you can supplement this amount.

Pineapple enzyme bromelain

Bromelain, also known as bromelin, is an enzyme found in all parts of the pineapple plant. From a biochemical point of view, bromelain is assigned to the protein-degrading enzymes. Depending on their function, enzymes bind to a specific substrate in the body – in this case proteins – and chemically change it. Put simply: the function of bromelain is to break down proteins.
