Under the name Brahmi, Bacopa monnieri is an important part of Ayurveda. Bacopa is rich in bitter substances, flavonoids, saponins (bacoside A and B), phytosterols and triterpenes.
Ginkgo Biloba
The ginkgo biloba tree was originally native to China but can now be found worldwide. Declared the "Tree of the Millennium", the ginkgo tree has been planted for several centuries.
The ginkgo leaves contain flavonoids, including flavone glycosides, quercetin and proanthocyanidins, as well as various Terpenes such as terpene lactones.
Taurine
Taurine, which is often referred to as an amino acid, is an organic acid that is produced during metabolism when the amino acid cysteine is broken down.
Taurine was first isolated from ox bile in 1827 . The name comes from the Latin word "fel tauri" (bull's bile) and the Greek word "tauros" (bull).
The human body has a taurine content of 30-70g, where 75% is found in muscle cells and the rest primarily in the brain, heart and blood.
Phosphatidylserine (PS)
Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid that is a component of cell membranes. It can therefore be found throughout the body, but especially in the brain and central nervous system. At the cellular level, it is responsible for communication between cells, i.e. signal transmission.
Folic acid
Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9, contributes to normal mental function, normal function of the immune system and reduction from tiredness and fatigue. In addition, folic acid has a function in cell division.
